CCTV Video Surveillance

Closed Circuit Television Surveillance is the ability to look in and out of an area.  CCTV System Surveillance strategies are aimed primarily at observing trouble spots to help control undesirable behavior.  

Natural surveillance is what is occurring when someone is in an area with activity. As people move around, they observe what is going on around them, provided the area is open and well lit.  This type of surveillance is typically free of cost, but observers may choose not to get involved in a situation that poses a possible threat. 

When surveillance cannot be achieved through natural means, mechanical ones are recommended.  These include improved lighting, mirrors and closed circuit television (CCTV System) to monitor common and remote areas.  Mechanical surveillance measures involve investment in technologies that require training and maintenance.
